Cécile was a Visiting Research Scholar at the CoCoDev Lab at HGSE. She is a postdoctoral research fellow working with Katrina Begus at the Centre for Early Childhood Cognition at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, where she uses a combination of brain imaging (EEG), eye-tracking, and behavioral methods in a longitudinal project investigating the development and mechanisms of information seeking and curiosity in 1- to 2- year old infants. Cécile obtained her PhD in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience from Birkbeck, University of London in 2022 within a Horizon 2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie doctoral programme. She was jointly based at the Transylvanian Institute for Neuroscience and supervised by Teodora Gliga, Marie Smith and Raul Mureșan. Cécile’s broad academic interests lie in understanding how people spontaneously engage with information and learn, in other words, what makes them curious.
